Maxwells Trading, Brasero, Earn Top Honors in Infatuation Chicago’s 2024 Awards

Two HiFi Restaurants Earn Recognition in the Infatuation Chicago’s ‘Best Of’ and ‘Readers’ Choice’ 2024 Lists

The Infatuation Chicago has announced their “Best of” honors and “Readers’ Choice” awards for 2024, and two HiFi designed restaurants have made the cut: Maxwells Trading earned recognition (by the notoriously grueling Infatuation staff) as one of the “Best New Restaurants of 2024” and the “Best New Dishes of 2024”, while Brasero snagged the love of the people with “Readers’ Choice: Best New Restaurants of 2024”.

Maxwells Trading

Best New Restaurants of 2024; Best New Dishes of 2024 – Infatuation Chicago

What sets Maxwells apart is that it doesn’t quite feel like anywhere, or anything, else.

Maxwells Trading Brand Identity by HiFi Brands Design Firm in Chicago
You’ll want to become a regular at Maxwells Trading. Overambitious? Maybe at any other place. But this West Loop spot delivers on every fill-in-the-blank aspect of a great meal, especially the food.

Maxwells Trading slated a 9/10 score by The Infatuation Chicago, not only for the “chic warehouse” atmosphere but because every dish reveals layers of complexity beneath its seemingly simple exterior.

And when it comes to standout dishes, the Japanese Sweet Potato—"masquerading as crème brûlée"—took the crown as one of the year’s best.

Brasero

Readers’ Choice: Best New Restaurants of 2024 – Infatuation Chicago

The community has spoken, and Brasero has landed in the top five for “Readers’ Choice: Best New Restaurants of 2024”. Chicago locals love the vibrant atmosphere, shareable dishes, and that signature “light cologne of smoke” from the wood-fire grill.

Brasero seems to specialize in throwing a party every night. This Latin American spot in West Town is great
for upbeat get-togethers of all sizes, with a mix of shareable dishes and catchy Bossa nova music that practically begs you to show up with the best gossip to match the secluded space and good-times vibe.
